Make it the highlight of a Gwangalli evening, not the only reason for a long transfer. From October, the regular Saturday slots move to 19:00 and 21:00; a dated operator notice can still change a particular night.

The operator describes changing stories in the sky against Gwangan Bridge. This is contemporary public entertainment on Busan's waterfront, not a traditional ceremony or a ticketed concert. The visual format works without following a long spoken script, so language matters less here than at a narrated performance.
Instead of choosing a spot from a reposted photograph alone, decide whether your priority is the whole sky composition, the bridge background or simply watching with your group.
Choose the week's story, not just the biggest drone count
The operator's English program list checked September 29 names A Glorious Heritage for October 3, October in Busan for October 10, Station Between Dimensions for October 17, Melody of the Forest for October 24 and The Legend of Troy for October 31. The titles let you choose a night that interests you; they are not evidence of a particular narrative, language service or fixed drone count.
The changing program is the reason to read the date rather than call every week the same attraction. Our suggested way to watch is to follow transitions between shapes before concentrating on a souvenir photograph.

Pick the correct season, then the earlier or later slot
The operator lists Saturday performances at 20:00 and 22:00 from March through September, and 19:00 and 21:00 from October through February. It describes performances as over twelve minutes and the viewing area as Gwangalli Beach.
Our planning preference is the earlier performance when your return journey is uncertain: it leaves more room to adjust the evening. The later show suits a dinner-first plan; check your last train or bus before you commit to it. Compare your own destination with a current route before choosing.
October's standing pattern is 19:00 and 21:00. An earlier one-show holiday exception has passed; do not reuse that date's timing or traffic controls for an October visit. Check the current notice before crossing Busan, particularly if your plan depends on the second show or a wheelchair/stroller viewing area.

A specific viewing provision for wheelchair and stroller users
The operator's standing notice places a wheelchair and stroller viewing area opposite Starbucks Gwangalli at 247 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro (광안해변로 247). It says the area is arranged 40 minutes before each regular show. That gives a more useful point to ask about than an undifferentiated beach pin.
Special shows can change the layout, so treat it as the standard arrangement rather than a promise for every night. If the area is essential, check the current event layout notice before you leave.

Make the evening survive a cancellation
A useful backup is another purpose in Gwangalli, not an unrelated Seoul attraction. The nearby options below distinguish a place for waiting or food from the show itself and label distances as straight-line measurements, not walking times.
Agree on a meeting place with your group before entering a busy beach area, and keep the operator's notice available on the phone you are carrying. A generic weather forecast cannot confirm an aviation-dependent show. If a cancellation is announced, stop planning around the performance and decide whether the rest of your Gwangalli evening still earns the trip.

Build this evening backwards from the drone-show time. The show is brief, but a clear viewing position, seasonal start time, weather notice, and post-show crowd make it the fixed point of the route. Nearby places are useful only when they absorb waiting time without turning the return to the beach into a second commute.
Theme Street keeps the route inside the same waterfront environment and is the lower-risk choice. Millac The Market offers food, seating, and some indoor cover, but it creates a door-to-beach transition that becomes slower when both venues are busy. Pick the street for continuity or the market for a defined break; trying to complete both adds little compared with arriving settled and early.

KTO records a 1,250-metre waterfront street divided into themed sections, with Gwangandaegyo views and connections to the café and raw-fish areas. It extends the same coastal setting rather than asking the visitor to learn a new neighborhood before showtime.
This is the low-commitment extension: use it to wait near the viewing area without adding a cross-town transfer, while keeping the final beach position flexible.

Food and indoor waiting option
KTO identifies busking, ocean-view seating, food-and-beverage space, and frequently changing pop-ups inside the complex. The mix is useful for flexible waiting, but the changing program means a place listing alone cannot promise a particular shop, performance, or seat on the day.
Use this as a meal or indoor waiting candidate before the show, then leave enough buffer to re-enter the beach crowd rather than assuming a quick door-to-viewing-spot transfer.
