Korean culture.
Understood, then explored.

K-Spot Now publishes in-depth English guides to Korean culture for independent visitors to Seoul. 34 guides so far, each one researched from official sources and written to answer a real visitor question.

A useful guide should change what you understand, not just add another pin to a map.

Why we exist

Most English-language coverage of Seoul either lists attractions or repeats the official description. We explain what a palace, custom or dish means, who it suits, and how to do it properly: the Korean name to search, the day it closes, the booking rule that trips people up and the etiquette that matters.

Who we are

K-Spot Now is an independent publication produced by the K-Spot Now Editorial Desk. It is a small desk, not a large newsroom, and it is not affiliated with any palace, museum, tour operator, brand or government agency. Write to contact@kspotnow.com with corrections or questions.

How we research

Every guide is built from the official records it links to: heritage-agency, palace, museum, city and venue pages, plus reputable Korean news for changes such as new visiting rules. We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. Facts that can change are checked against a linked source and dated before publication, and our recommendations are labeled as judgment. We do not describe visits we have not made.

How we stay accurate

Hours, fees and rules in Korea change, sometimes at short notice. Each guide shows when it was published and last checked, and links to the page with the final word. When a reader or a source tells us something has changed, we correct the guide and record substantive changes on our corrections page.
